Sr. Customer Marketing Manager –

What You’ll Do:

(Internally titled Senior Customer Advocacy Manager), you will support and build a community of Billtrust brand advocates and serve as a liaison between customers and respective functions within Billtrust. This position increases customer advocacy (which may include referrals, testimonials, references, etc.), identifies cross-sell and upsell opportunities and increases loyalty and retention by delivering compelling content and engagement opportunities.

  • Collaborate across multiple teams and experts to ensure the development of a complete library of assets with the right mix of content types based on customer/buyer journey and personas
  • Identify and deliver on customer storytelling and reference priorities across the organization; this includes crafting case studies, capturing customer video testimonials, maintaining a repository of customer stats and facts, etc.
  • Own and scale the customer reference database and program to drive strong customer engagement and actionable insights
  • Partner with the Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Product functions to identify strategic opportunities and actively promote and grow the customer reference program
  • Increase reference adoption, usage and visibility through proactive outreach, internal communications and creative messaging
  • Support customer programs such as Billtrust’s CFO Council and Customer Advisory Council
  • Manage customer storytelling and reference materials requests and development to support marketing and sales activities including PR, AR, blogs, social media, and events.
  • Build processes to support regular customer outreach, nurture relationships and encourage participation in Billtrust programs
  • Oversee Billtrust’s customer advocacy platform, Billtrust Community; lead and participate in daily conversations encouraging participation, referrals, content sharing, etc.
  • Spearhead and oversee development of monthly customer newsletter by soliciting information from key stakeholders
  • Produce monthly and/or quarterly reports and regular communications to key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and enhance Billtrust’s online presence through third-party review sites

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Proven success running customer reference programs, third-party review sites and advocacy community groups –  5+ years of experience preferred
  • Experienced in business writing (blogs, articles, press releases, case studies, etc.)
  • Experience working closely with planning and creative functions to deliver amazing content
  • Driven, detail-oriented and calm under pressure
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal and external audiences
  • Excellent time management skills with an eye for detail and forward-thinking mindset
  • Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
  • Strategic thinker who is a self-starter and solution-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred


Target Base Compensation: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00  (bonus offered in addition to base compensation)

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for Colorado-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
