About the job
Monte Carlo is looking for our company’s founding Customer Marketing Manager! As a member of our Content & Communications team, you’ll be responsible for setting and executing the company’s customer advocacy and marketing strategy as part of our larger marketing program.

You will collaborate closely with a team of content marketers, customer success managers, partner marketers, and the broader Revenue and Marketing teams to help out customers tell their stories through case studies, blog articles, webinars, media appearances, and other channels. Through these efforts, you will help amplify and share the narratives of our customers and prospects shaping the data observability category, and in the process, give voice to data reliability pioneers across companies, industries, and personas.

As part of this role, you’ll partner closely with the customer success and Revenue teams to identify strong champions and build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders across the broader data engineering community. You should be adept at storytelling, with exemplary written and verbal communication skills, as well as a strong ability to manage cross-functional programs and deliver quantifiable results.

What gets you excited:

Taking a raw concept and turning it into a fully-fledged customer marketing campaign that will drive net-new MQLs and page views, while nurturing the existing funnel
Partnering with customers and prospects to identify blog article, case study, and tech talk or panel ideas on a regular cadence
Building strong relationships with customers, partners, and the broader community based on empathy
Working closely with our Customer Success team to find creative ways for customers to tell their stories and share how they’re using our product, as well as the value they’re deriving for data observability
Ability and interest in writing, working closely with the broader Content & Communications team to edit and improve articles, bylines, and other written and video content
Managing disparate projects at once across several customer accounts in the U.S., EMEA, and LATAM

What gets us excited:

4+ years of experience in content, communications, or customer marketing
Proven track record of building and scaling customer marketing campaigns from start to finish
Ability to work independently to execute on cross-functional projects, like new content, customer events, customer review programs, and other initiatives
Drive case study and thought leadership content development with Content Marketing team
Nurture customer relationships through
Obsession with proper grammar, spelling, and fluency
Capability of executing quickly with minimal direction in partnership with cross-functional marketing teams
Willingness to think outside of the box and reinvent modern marketing tactics
Passion for customer success and an ability to go above and beyond to support our team and community of users
Experience working in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects with tight deadlines
