Job Overview

The VP of Customer Marketing & Events is responsible for how iCIMS helps to nurture customer relationships as well as how we implement market-facing events, all on a global level! This leader will supervise a team of professionals responsible for crafting and delivering a comprehensive customer marketing strategy across adoption, retention, expansion and advocacy; and advise on programs that helps iCIMS better connect with customers and prospects.

This position reports to the CMO and is a member of the iCIMS senior leadership team. We are looking for a results oriented, dynamic and proven leader who can work closely with multiple partners, executives and team members. You’ll be a beacon of new insights that advance customer relationships through an outside-in perspective, strategic marketing and an events program that delivers impact, as the buyer experience continues to shift!

Responsibilities

  • Build and advance a marketing strategy that elevates and nurtures customer relationships and drives positive outcomes across key phases of the lifecycle
  • Partner closely with the Customer Success and Sales teams to help advise how we market to our customers and deliver with a high level of coordination and partnership across functions
  • Create evaluation methods to follow the progression and success of the customer marketing program
  • Areas of responsibility include community building/nurturing, case study & testimonial sourcing and development, client advisory councils, industry-specific initiatives, Voice of the Customer, review site management, cross-sell/up-sell, renewal plays and support, and more
  • Run the iCIMS event strategy that includes operations, content and logistics for in-person and virtual events and the iCIMS presence at external industry events and conferences
  • Take a critical eye to defining and tracking goals, targets and results, including pipeline generation, opportunity progression and other related metrics
  • Drive marketing, communication and demand generation activities for before, during and after key events
  • Coordinate with & influence internal iCIMS events team, external resources, and other iCIMS partners to help lead a best-in-class events program
  • Lead and empower the Customer Marketing and Events functions to ensure that strategies/objectives are met
  • Maintain a strong team and work environment enabling operational objectives and retention/alignment of people resources to fulfill team objectives optimally
  • Lead and mentor both direct and indirect reports with the goal of improving their professional expertise to better serve business initiatives
  • Make recommendations for organizational and/or process improvements and proactively plans for, organize and deliver well thought-out and processed organizational change programs

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in customer marketing and events roles with increasing responsibilities and proven track record of success
  • Experience in B2B tech / SaaS sector
  • Demonstrated success developing & running these programs in support of organizational strategies
  • A gift to influence, work with, and lead teams to successfully achieve business goals
  • Ability to communicate and influence cross-functionally with the Executive Team, management peers and stakeholders
  • Experience in managing internal and external resources
  • Ability to drive creative, analytical, strategic and tactical activities
  • Positive, collaborative, inclusive, and inspirational leadership style, modeling iCIMS values

Preferred

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA desired
  • Experience in HR tech, HCM and/or talent tech

Compensation And Benefits

The target total compensation for this role is $250,000-300,000. Compensation will be based upon experience.
