Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones Hardcover

Anita Toth suggested we add this book to the library. Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear this week, so I went to my local independent bookstore and purchased a copy. Most of us have habits that we want to break or at least change. For me, it is binging on Amazon Prime Video or Netflix. I literally will stay up all night and watch a whole series of shows. Not the best habit in the world. One section that resonated with me was when James Clear talks about Motion vs. Action. He says” When you’re in motion, you’re planning and strategizing and learning. Those are all good things, but they don’t produce a result. Action, on the other hand, is the type of behavior that will deliver an outcome.” Over the years, I have learned that some planning is good, but taking action is when you really learn. You learn by doing. Another section that resonated with me was “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.” At the end of the day, you are what you do.
