@K-Rose asked a very insight question about the best platforms to meet mentors in the marketing field, here are some suggestions bases on my experience, would love to know what you think as well @Gary @Elizabeth_Mayer @jeffreygyoung

Platforms to Meet Mentors in the Marketing Field

    1. LinkedIn: You can reach out to a mentor on this platform, by simply sending a connection request, and an intro email, asking your prospective mentor if you admire his work and if you’d like to connect with him/her.

    1. GrowthMentor: This is a platform primarily suited for meeting mentors, The mentors are all people who live and breathe growth. They’ve made all the noobish mistakes already, and want to help other marketers avoid the same ones if possible.
    1. Demand Curve: This is a slack-based community where marketers can connect on a more personal basis. You can fill out the form attached

Pavilion had a mentor matchmaking program that they ran on Guider: https://www.guider-ai.com/. As a mentee seeking a mentor, it was great to be able to search through dozens of mentor profiles to see who I think would be the best fit and know that they want to be a mentor.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure if Pavilion is still running the program (?).

Re: Pavilion for mentorship, I inquired. Pavilion said while they no longer use Guider for mentoring matchmaking, they recommend the following:

        – Use their global member directory (in Airtable) to find mentor candidates

        – Filter by role, chapter, membership level, expertise, etc.
        – Then send a Pavilion Member Success Manager four or five names that strike you as potential mentors and include a short 4-5 sentences blurb about who you are and what you are looking for and the Member Success Manager can reach out to those members on your behalf to see if there’s a fit.

TL;DR while they no longer have a formal mentor matchmaking program, they can cobble one together on-demand.
