Hi All, Wondering if there are any anti-bribery considerations as we rollout our Advocacy program in to UK, France, Germany and beyond. In North America, we ask our Advocates to participate in case studies, references, quotes, speak at events, etc. and award them with points for each activity. Is this against other country’s regulations that impact how we use Base platform?

Our legal team is looking into it, but would love to get insight from this community!

Hi Anna! Definitely check with your legal team to see if there’s an annual gifting spend limit both on an account & contact level, as well as a $ value cap for each reward/gift.

Also be sure you’re considering & tracking which advocates are Private vs. Public Sector, since there are even more stringent limitations for Pub Sec customers.

@Anna, I came across an article titled “UK Bribery Act 2010: Facts and Implications for Businesses.” (https://www.mondaq.com/uk/white-collar-crime-anti-corruption–fraud/162966/uk-bribery-act-2010-facts-and-implications-for-businesses) I’m not certain of the source, but you could look into it. Also, talking to your legal team is a very good step to take.
